Production outline for The Move
Setting –
House and outer grounds of the house.
Characters –
Little girl (Sarah)
- Vicar (Reverend Lowe)
- Mother
Scene 1 – A young girl (Sarah) dancing in her front room to music on
the TV. Use of high key lighting. Diegetic music. Mid shot which then switches
to a long shot.
Scene 2 – The young girl is told they are moving house by her mother
and gets annoyed/sad. Light fades out. Non diegetic sound of a glass smashing.
Scene 3 – Blackout saying ‘She was just a normal girl’. No music used
in this scene.
Scene 4 – There is a picture of the house which flashes up a few times
very quickly with gloomy non diegetic music.
Scene 5 – Blackout saying ‘Until her life moved forever’. No music
used in this scene.
Scene 6 – The family move into their new home. Young girl carrying
boxes to her new house. Their house is very daunted.
Scene 7 – The young girl starts to walk up the stairs and it seems like
something is following her with the use of tracking. It follows her into her
bedroom and she starts playing with her toys on the floor and suddenly the door
slams.
Scene 8 - She opens her window and the curtains start to blow and her
drawers then open. She runs to the corner of her room and curls up in a ball
and starts rocking. She stands up and grabs her quilt cover and as she removes
her hands there are blood handprints on it.
Scene 9 – Blackout saying ‘What will happen next’.
Scene 10 – There is a vicar standing in front of her holding a cross
with blood around it.
Scene 11 – Blackout saying ‘The Move’.
Scene 12 – Details of the film and its release.
